**BEYOND URGENT* NEED FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE HOME ASAP! Say hello to Samson! Isn't he handsome!!! He is waiting at the shelter and would love to be a part of someone's family. Here is what the shelter has to say about this gorgeous boy: Samson is a full-blooded bull terrier that is approximately 12 years old and already neutered. He is also heartworm negative thank goodness! He came in on 2-13-17 as a stray but no one ever claimed him so he is now looking for his forever home! We don't know what all Samson has endured throughout in his life, and for this reason he will need to be an only dog because he doesn't do that great with other ... (Read More)dogs. He does absolutely wonderful with every human he comes in contact with though and never meets a stranger! One of our wonderful volunteers takes Samson home on the weekends from time to time and she says he does absolutely wonderful at her house! He is also HOUSEBROKEN so that is a major plus for this cutie! If you can foster or would like to adopt Samson, please fill out an application as instructed below. Let's find this precious senior boy a forever home with humans who will love him forever and ever! **An application and home visit are required. Transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes. Please ask us for more information if you are not in Tennessee** **All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.** Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would * *be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We'd like you to meet Rocko, Tennessee's next hunky eligible bachelor. At only 11 months old, Rocko is already catching the eye of all the ladies! Weighing in at 56 lbs, this Bull Terrier mix could be the next big thing to hit Hollywood, or hey, maybe the next Target dog!! He's good with female dogs, as well as submissive males. Rocko is good with kids, and he loves people. He's very gentle with kids and people, and we are unsure how he reacts to cats, but we can test this, if needed. Rocko wanted us to mention that he really needs a fenced yard or an active walker/runner for exercise because, as we all know, maintaining a 'Hollywood figure' ... (Read More)isn't easy. If you are thinking that you've discovered the total package, you're right! Rocko is house trained and crate trained. Even though Rocko is still very puppy-like and young, he has not had one accident in his foster home. Gold star for Rocko! We saw instantly how smart he is because he easily learned how to go in his crate on command, he knows sit and down, as well as other fundamental commands. *****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED!***** Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.     Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
