    Petey is an approximately 5 year old American Bulldog/Boxer mix that weighs about 60 lbs. He is very friendly and sweet and takes treats very gently. Petey is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and heartworm negative. Peteywas heartworm positive at Aiken Co Animal Shelter where HeartBeat then rescued him and then treated him for heartworms!     Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
