Rescue Me ID: 16-08-22-00432Georgie (female)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Date into Rescue: 7-5-16 Reason for being in rescue: Stray Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Nope! Weight: 28 lbs Height: est 13' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? no What kind of home would be best for me? Georgie is an absolutely adorable easy going dog that would do well in a family type atmosphere. He loves to be around people and wants to be up in the mix at all times. He gets along well with people of all ages, dogs, and cats too! Georgie would be a great dog for a first time owner, especially as a gift for a child wanting a dog. What is my personality like? Georgie is a young dog ... (Read More)that still has some puppy-like ways and characteristics. He is constantly on the move and wants to explore, explore, explore, so interested adopters should be ready for a dog with a high energy level. His inquisitive nature can sometimes get him into trouble, but he has such a charming, charismatic personality and such a cute face that no matter what he did wrong you couldn't stay mad at him long. Georgie absolutely loves to go outside with other dogs and play, wrestle, run and chase. Georgie would probably do best in a home with another dog, or at least in a home where he will have lots of play dates and visits to dog parks. Georgie is just an all around, eager to please, goofy, fun loving dog and not enough good can be said about him. How I act when I first meet new people: Georgie loves everyone! House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: estimated 1 year old Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. PIease Read Before Adopting a Bull Terrier in South Carolina
Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
