Rescue Me ID: 14-10-19-00487Sport (male)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Sport is a very handsome male Bull Terrier mix born about 10/2011. He is neutered, heart worm positive(but can be treated by staying on heart worm prevention ,which he has already been started on) and he is up to date on shot. He gets along great with other dogs and kids. Even though he has never been around cats he would probably be fine with them. Sport was saved from a high kill shelter just in the nick of time. He loves it at his foster home, but what he really wants is a home he can call his own forever.

Swiper is a female Boxer/bull terrrier mix. She was born aroung 05/2011. Swiper was so desperate to be part of a family, she dug her way into someone's yard. Yes, I said in, not out! Lucky for Swiper, she dug her way into a rescue worker's back yard. We tried to find Swiper's owners, but no one claimed her; and we were not surprised. Swiper might be a bit shy at first, but she warms up very quickly when she learns you are friend and not foe. Swiper has tested negative for heartworms, has been brought up to date on shots, is spayed and microchipped. Swiper does well with other dogs, cats, and children. Will you be Swiper's new family that she ... (Read More)has been frantically searching for? (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bull Terrier in Louisiana
Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
