Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Scooby is a sweet and lovable two-year-old, 57-pound, Am Staff / Bull Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Scooby knows the commands sit, down paw, other paw and takes treats very gently from your fingers. He is great in the car, and wonderful on leashed walks. He is also housebroken as well as crate-trained. Scooby is a very happy, goofy, playful boy who is extremely friendly with people. He loves every human he meets. Because he still enthusiastically jumps up on people, he's probably best in a home without small children and with someone willing to continue his training. To meet and possibly adopt Scooby, please contact Joanne ... (Read More)at 630-231-6860 or Sue at or 630-964-8535. Scooby is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of Cry For Help Rescue. She would prefer to be the only dog so she knows she has a better purpose in life than what she has seen. If interested in pursuing for adoption, please complete the online application at

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-15-00634Bella Amore (female)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We are heartbroken to have to make this decision but we are looking for a loving home for our 7 year old Bull Terrier Mix, Bella Amore (which means Beautiful Love). She was adopted at 9 weeks old from a rescue in Gilbert Arizona and has lived happily with her owner Doug Price and his elderly mother (now 90 year old) since then. Doug moved back to Chicago 3 years ago and brought his mom & both of his puppies with him. (his other dog is a 9 year old Beagle). Doug is now in a relationship with a woman and spends a majority of his time off work with her and her boys. Bella loves the quiet house and is great company to his now 90 year old mom. ... (Read More)In recent months Doug's mom's health has declined greatly, the onset of Dementia & Alzheimers is getting worse, and she is in need of nursing staff a few times throughout the day.( before long it will most likely be 24 hour care needed). The size of Bella is becoming an issue, she is a trip hazard for the elderly woman, and the nursing service has asked that we lock Bella up in a cage every time they come. In recent days Doug's mom is unable to get Bella into the cage safely, and we have had instances where after Bella's caged and his mom is awaiting the nursing service to arrive , she forgets and let's Bella out of the cage, the service arrives and rings the bell and like any dog Bella barks and jumps up on the door. For the safety of Doug's mom, we need to find Bella a new loving home. As I mentioned she is a loving 7 year old Bull Terrier Mix. She does well with Kingsley (the 9 year old Beagle) but that is the only other pet she has ever been introduced too. She's only had limited contact with kids, she's friendly with them but very timid around them. We feel like she would do well in a single pet family. The houses on both sides of her new home in Brookfield, IL have a chain link fence, and both houses have dogs. She runs the fence line barking and playing with them but has never been in the same yard as them. Bella loves to give kisses, if you let her she will lick you for hours. She loves her head and ears scratched.. And she Loves her 'cookies' aka Dog treats, after she comes in from outside. We have exhausted our resources by asking family and friends and no one is in the position to take on another dog at this time. This is why we are reaching out to you. I have attached some recent pictures of Bella and would be happy to send more if needed. She is current with all her shots and is in good health. She had never been neutered. We want nothing more than to find her a happy home when she can live out the rest of her years being cared for and loved. Any help or advice you can give us would be greatly appreciated. This has been a heart wrenching decision to make but for the safety and care of Doug's 90 year old mom we have been left with no other options. Kind Regards (Less)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

China is a beautiful, short, squat, tail-waggingly-friendly, five-year-old, 58-pound, female Bull Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. China looks like a gigantic French Bulldog. She is all white with adorable brown cow spots on her muscular body. She absolutely adores people of all ages including children, but she prefers to be the only dog in the home. She walks around happily, smiling, and when excited '| she snorts like a pig. She loves toys and enjoys playing ball and is extremely agile and gentle. She may be shy when you first meet her, but pull out a ball or rope toy to play with her, and she is your best friend for life. ... (Read More)She tires out after a bit of play and is all snuggles, kisses and cuddles. She loves to roll on her back with toys in her mouth. She knows sit and down and is full of kisses and tail wags.
