Rescue Me ID: 18-01-15-00460Rupunzal (female)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi. I'm Rupunzal and I am searching for my new family. I am very smart and very obedient but I like to be loved most of all. Because I'm very strong I don't think I want to live with small children (I wouldn't want them to get knocked down). I'm not so sure if I like other animals so if I could be the only special girl in the home that would be best for me. If you're interested in meeting me please let Sheryl know by writing a comment. If you're not looking to adopt a dog right now please share me so that my forever family can find me.     Meet Blade. Blade weighs in at 60 pounds and is 6 years old. He is a handsome tricolored neutered mail Bull Terrier. Blade has lived with a family since he was a pup, unfortunately, they have fallen on hard times and have had to make the ultimate decision to let him go. Currently he is in Central Florida with a great foster dad, but he can travel for the right home. Blade is a very sweet boy who loves humans, but has never been around children - he may be too rambunctious for small ones. He is housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Blade has a high energy level that will require lots of exercise and mental stimulation. If ... (Read More)this is not provided he can be distractive- as with most bull terriers. Blade did well with his foster dad's male and female Bull Terrier but he will still need a Bull Terrier savy home with an owner that can be firm and positive environment. Blade has never been tested with cats but we always assume cats are a no with the high prey drive in a terrier. He also does not like to be locked in a cage but we are currently working on helping reverse the issue. Please follow Blades progress on his Facebook page, Blade of Glory. Rescue Me ID: 17-12-14-00243Tebow (male)

Bull Terrier    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Tebow is a pure bred Bull Terrier. His mom was a full size and his dad was a mini. He is @ 8 years old. He has been my sons Dog since he was 8 weeks old. My son has been in the military all of this time and we have fostered Tebow when he has deployed. This time, however; he has recently been stationed in Hawaii for the next 3 years. It was going to cost my son over $1700 and months of waiting to be able to have Tebow with him and so he, at the last moment when he could not find a forever home for him, dropped him off at my house on his way to the airport (nice, huh?). We are in the process of moving into our RV waiting the final few weeks to ... (Read More)month/s of our home being built and cannot have 3 dogs in this little space, as well as the fact that We have an elderly dog and a small dog and Tebow has shown a little aggression towards both of them at times, therefore we are not willing to keep him long-term. Tebow would make a great dog for an active male who would spend the time with him. He can go for hours and hours and would basically kill himself to keep up with his human. Seriously, he is that kind of dog. Loves to play, swim and be outside but only with his human. Good with older kids but not recommended for homes with small children. House-broken and crate-trained (loves his crate). He is a powerful dog who is head-strong and needs a strong but consistent leader. He has killed chickens in the past so not recommended for farm life with chickens or rabbits. This dog now belongs to me and I will not let him go to just any home. Must have references as well as veterinary references that I can personally speak to. (Less)

Hi! I'm Roscoe! I am friendly guy who loves people, but I would do well in a home all to myself. I was adopted out, but brought back because I didn't get along with the other dogs that were already there. I love to go on walks. I am high energy at the shelter, but I would be much calmer in a home! I weigh 80 lbs and I'm 2-3 y/o. Please come visit me! Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, and microchip. Bull Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Kevin comes to us as a stray from MDAS. He is a brindle male weighing approximately 42 pounds. He had multiple wounds and lacerations on his face and by the side of his eye; we are not exactly sure what the source or cause of the trauma was. It looked like his wounds were superficial and healing, but over the last few days, he was unable to open his left eye fully, and clearly has been in a lot of pain. We took him to our vet and upon further testing, noted he had very elevated pressures in his eye. We brought him to Animal Eye Specialty Clinic in West Palm Beach and they discovered he had severe trauma to the left eye. For his comfort, ... (Read More)we had to remove the eye, unfortunately it could not be saved. The surgery cost approximately $1500, and we have started a YouCaring page to help with his vet bills. He had the surgery on Thursday, May 4 and stayed overnight at the vet. He is currently back with his foster family and is recovering. He is a true bull terrier, a warrior, and we have all faith that he will recover and adjust to life as a one-eyed pirate bullie. From what we were able to observe prior to his surgery, he seems to be playful and energetic and can get a little rough with play. He is very sweet and knows basic commands. He has no food aggression. He pulls on the lead but will stop with control. He also loves going on car rides. He appears to be dog-selective. He was kid tested and appeared to be friendly with no incidents. He has not been cat-tested yet. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. If you are interested in fostering, fostering to adopt or adopting Kevin, please apply online now! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bull Terrier in Florida
Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
