Please call or email PAWS to schedule an appointment to meet Simon he is currently in training and therefore is by appointment only. Simon is an 8 year old Bull Terrier mix who takes some time to get to know new people. He needs someone who is going to take the time to make him feel safe and build a relationship with him. Once Simon bonds with you he is a super sweetie who wiggles when he sees you coming. He enjoys long walks, belly rubs and playing with his stuffies. Simon is dog selctive, but does enjoy playtime with some other dogs. He has been at PAWS far too long and is uncertain of new situations. Simon would like a kind and confident leader who can help him manage the world around him and give him plenty of one-on-one time. He may be seen by appointment with the Dog Adoption Coordinator only. Simon is eligible for our senior pension plan which means no adoption donation required and some lifelong medical follow-up! Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
