Rescue Me ID: 17-12-14-00072Millie (female)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Her perfect features bisected by white make brindle Millie one dramatic dog knockout! At 32 pounds, this abandoned beauty is crazy about cuddling and closeness, and eagerly elicits all the loving she can. To do so, she either sits in her foster mom's lap or simply rests her head there, and then lies beside her in bed at night. Extremely intelligent and very alert to her surroundings, she's also highly food motivated, making her easy to teach and to train. She knows 'sit' and 'down', is working on 'stay' and 'off', and walks well in a soft harness and leash, staying close to her foster mom's side. She loves all toys, especially squeaky ones ... (Read More)and balls, and one of her most endearing traits is carrying a stuffed spider larger than her own head in her mouth as she runs round the yard playing throw and catch by herself. While somewhat wary when meeting strangers, she slowly warms up to them, and with the proper introductions, gets along with other dogs. Housetrained but not crate trained, this marvelous miss is hoping to find a patient and loving home to complete her training and keep her cuddly close fur-ever. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-11-18-00185Zuma (male)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Zuma, he is a 8 month old Bull Terrier/Basset Hound puppy. Zuma is packed with power and energy, but has as much sweetness one could handle. Zuma came to Denver as a newborn with his mom and siblings. Mom was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Mom was a Dachshund/Aussie and dad was a traveling salesman in Lubbock. Zuma was adopted out to a nice family only to find out he was way too rambunctious for their 2 year old child. Zuma is great with other dogs, he needs room and another dog to rumble tumble with. He is very smart and has learned a lot. Zuma is housebroken, crate trained, and knows his basic commands (sit, down, ... (Read More)roll over, shake and come). He is working on stay and leave it. Zuma like to walk on a leash and walks help him get some of his energy out. Zuma is about 40 pounds and has no idea how big and how strong he is, thus making it difficult to play gently with small children. He does love kids and would be a great companion for kids over the age of 12. Zuma has had a hard time finding a home because he is all puppy and needs to have a backyard to run in and a buddy to play with. Zuma needs a special adopter who has the patience to finish training a willful puppy, who has time to train properly and has a large backyard. Zuma is not a cat dog. He is up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered and chipped. He is currently being fostered in Elizabeth, CO. Please complete an adoption application at if interested. WDCR requires an application, home and reference check and a meet and greet with current pets and/or children in the home. (Less)

Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased.
