Rescue Me ID: 15-11-24-00612Cloud (male)
Cloud is a 1yr old Bull Terrier looking for his forever home. Cloud weighs in at 49.5lbs and is full grown. Cloud is a very friendly, active, outgoing, happy guy. He loves to play and loves to run. He is good with medium and large dogs.. might be a little to playful for smaller dogs. He dislikes cats and birds. Cloud loves men, woman, and older kids (might knock down the littler ones). He knows sit and stay. He knows how to go in an out the dog door and is kennel trained. At his previous home he was kept outside during the day then crated at night so we aren't sure if he is house broken. He is a total love bug who loves to give kisses and will even cuddle in your lap if you let him! This guy needs an active home with a yard and a 6ft block wall or fence (no chainlink as he can climb it). He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, vet checked, comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $260. To meet him, come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021 open daily 11am to 6pm. We are pet friendly so feel free to bring any current pets in the home for a meet and greet as well! |Rescue Me ID: 15-11-12-00802Boomer (male)|
Boomer is one of our shyer Chi Town residents who has made great progress recently. Boomer first came to the shelter VERY afraid and shut down. He would run if we entered the room and did not like to be pet or touched- we can't imagine what this poor guy's past must have been. Boomer spent some time in Chi Town working on his socialization and has been in a foster home for the past month where he has really started to blossom! Boomer is a much more relaxed dog now and is starting to realize that there are some fun things in this world! Boomer loves his morning walks and walks great on the leash. He is starting to seek out attention from his human friends too, which is a HUGE step forward for him. Boomer loves his foster parents (especially his foster dad!) and does well with the kids in the house, although loud noises still startle him; we recommend a quieter home for Boomer with older children. Boomer LOVES other dogs and they really give him confidence. Boomer has gotten along with all the other dogs he's met in Chi Town as well as his doggy foster siblings. He loves to run and play and would make a great wrestle buddy for your dog at home. Boomer has also met some kittens in his foster home that he did fine with and is house trained with the doggy door. Overall, Boomer is a gentle, sweet and shy dog who has come SO far and we are so proud of him! Boomer is looking for a patient and loving furever family to help him blossom further. Do you have room in your heart and home to help Boomer? If you'd like to meet Boomer or learn more about him, send us a message and we'll get you in touch with his foster mom. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-07-00445Bella (female)
**COURTESY POST** From Bella's owner: Bella, is a 2 year old female mix breed with some bull terrier in her. I rescued Bella at the age of 7 weeks from the County pound, where she was spayed. Bella, is a very sweet and lovable puppy. She is very playful and does well with children. She is not food aggressive. I have two older female dogs in the house that I have had for seven years. Recently Bella decided she would like to be the Alpha dog in the house and started fighting with my older smaller dog. It is with great pain that I am even writing this email. I love Bella very much and it kills me that I can no longer have her in my home, but it is not fair to all of them. I do not want to put either her or the older dog at risk of harm. I have reached out to family and friends to try and find a home where she will be as well taken care of and loved just as much I do. I know how well you treat your animals and it is my hope that you will help me with this process to find a home for Bella. Facts about Bella: Crate trained Sleeps in her crate at night House trained Stays outside most of the day, but inside when I am home Walks on a leash Rides in the car, but get a little nervous Has never been destructive in the house Weight is approx 45-50 lbs Current on all shots (has been treated by the same Vet since first adopted. Indian Bend Animal Hospital) No medical issues Knows basic commands: sit, stay, lie down, outside Never been around cats She warms up quickly to strangers Great with kids (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-10-14-00514Spudz (male)
Spudz is a 6 month old, fully vetted miniature Bull Terrier mix. He does great with other dogs and loves playing. He's very short and stocky like a Bull Terrier. He is a little more on the active side and would do best with a strong handler and someone who has an active lifestyle. He would be great for hikes, camping and even the dog park!

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-15-00046Tazer (male)
Tazer is 2-3 year old pit mix who is confident, active and who would probably be best as an only dog, although he has had roommates and is doing well with his foster mom's kitties. He is doing well with his crate training and is housebroken, although he tends to get bored quickly. He loves his humans and really wants to please, and his foster is excited to start the BRDG training with sol.DOG, which we think he will do really well with. Tazer is working on basic commands and he seems to have a grasp of fetch. He also loves squeaky toys and cottage cheese. He has a smile that can melt even the coldest of hearts, and he will make a loyal companion to anyone lucky enough to adopt him. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-27-00304Ebony (female)
Ebony is a 2 yearold spayed female pit mix that has recently completed a 4 week board and train program with sol.DOG training. She's an energetic, vibrant girl who would love an active family committed to continuing her training. Ebony is house-trained, up to date on all shots/vaccinations, micro-chipped, and gets along well with other dogs (intros always recommended). She comes with life-long training support through sol.DOG. She also has recently won the 'Best in Show' award for best ears (how could she not? Look at them!). Ebony is well loved at Bridge and we can't wait for her to find her forever home!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bull Terrier in Arizona
Bull Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. Bull Terriers are stocky, solid dogs that were once bred to be very fierce but today are much gentler. Bull Terriers are companionable, thrive on attention, and do not like to be left alone for hours or left out of activities. Bull Terriers are spunky and energetic but need to get plenty of brisk exercise or they may become lazy and put on weight. Bull Terriers like children but do not like to be teased. Bull Terriers can be good pets but it is important that they are thoroughly socialized and obedience trained. Bull Terriers sometimes are not good with other household pets and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs.
